To me, an outsider, it looks like Labor is winning more from the SNP than defeating the Tories, who are now down just one seat.

This is clearly a close election and May could still end up with a very very narrow escape.

Regardless, UK elections have an air about them that escapes us here in the US. We are in many ways far less democratic, even though we are supposed to be a republic, versus the UK monarchy (yes, I know, a constitutional monarchy, but still…)
