So Elon Musk wants to put the Microsoft paperclip in his cars?

I think I’ll stick to driving dumb cars. How long before someone figures out how to hijack his AI and drive your car off a bluff, or into the ocean?

(I never understood why a toaster or my thermostat needed to be connected to the Internet either.)

I think a lot of cars can be hacked already. However, I can’t figure out why my household appliances need to be involved in “the internet of things” either. Since I don’t have a smart phone I can’t have a meaningful conversation with my refrigerator from afar.
