Because we’re still part of the US even after the caucus. Obama and both Clintons came back, didn’t ignore Iowa afterward.
I know there are a lot of people who don’t like Iowa being first, that we don’t deserve it because we’re rural and a so-called flyover state. That’s an opinion. But as an Iowan I’m allowed to be annoyed by opportunists using us, thinking we’re rubes, wearing ($500) jeans, staging photo opps with corn dogs at the Iowa State Fair, pretending to listen, pretending to care, and then pretending we don’t exist.

I feel your pain. The Republicans set up house in South Carolina prior to the primary (at one point, I thought Michele Bachmann lived on my street) then they’re gone as soon as the primary is over, because they know it’s in the bag for them at that point.
