Trump is never going to be impeached over hiding payments to conceal his affairs, regardless of their legality. The question is why did Trump think those people who would allow him to shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue would somehow object to a known libertine having affairs. Maybe he realized that to win he needed to attract voters outside his base or perhaps he overestimated the character of the evangelicals and thought that this behavior would dissuade them from voting.

He and mannequin Mike will hopefully both fall due to their failure to protect this country against all enemies both foreign and domestic.

I think you are leaving someone(s) out as to why Trump did this cover up.

Melania and the Trump sons and daughters.

They may have not known and Melania may have left him and that whole scene could have too much to overcome to allow him to run.

Also, it wasn’t known by the other (17?) candidates in the primaries who could have used it against him.
