Yes I made a big f’n mistake in 1980 when I hated Carter so much I worked for and voted Anderson in 1980 letting Pruneface Reagan get in. Learned my lesson the hard way…

Don’t beat yourself up about this too much. Many people have their moment before they figure out how things actually work. That being said, based on my more recent reading of the election (I was 6 years old and in First Grade at the time) Carter was so far behind in the popular vote that even if every Anderson voter would have voted for him, Reagan would have still won, by a lot.
