The Republican Party is setting itself on fire in Georgia just before an important runoff election, so The Hill is required by law to trot out a “Democrats in Disarray” article.

Manchin: Ocasio-Cortez ‘more active on Twitter than anything else’

Hey Joe, Ocasio-Cortez is engaging a whole lot of people (especially young people) in politics. That’s a good thing.

Sen. Joe Manchin (d-w.va.) questioned the legislative experience of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a leading member of the Democrats’ progressive wing with whom he has clashed over the future of the party.

“I guess she put the dagger stare on me,” Manchin told The New York Times in reference to a photo the congresswoman tweeted of her glaring at the moderate during this year’s State of the Union Address. “I don’t know the young lady — I really don’t. I never met her. I’m understanding she’s not that active with her bills or in committee. She’s more active on Twitter than anything else.”

You’re not the victim here, Joe. As for her legislative experience, she wasn’t born a representative. She’s gaining that experience like every first-term representative.

You on the other hand were elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 1982, seven years before she was born.
