Here’s a thread by a woman who recounts her experience trying to get prescribed Paxlovid. Basically, she had to talk the nurse into prescribing, because the nurse was worried that IF the woman got pregnant (which was not part of the discussion at any point), Paxlovid might have side effects.

I tested positive for COVID yesterday, my first time. I’m annoyed but fine, happy to have the flexibility to isolate safely and get treatment. This thread is about my experience getting that treatment in Alabama. 1/6?

It looks like people who can possibly get pregnant are going to be treated as always possibly pregnant and denied appropriate medical care. Fuck, people I never thought we were going back to the bad old days…
