I actually am very familiar with this Christmas display in Santa Monica - I’ve seen it many times over the years I’ve lived in LA, on Ocean Avenue overlooking the Pacific Coast Highway. In recent years they’ve had to put it all behind security fences, and the statues are looking pretty threadbare and worn out. It’s hard to imagine anyone really missing it if it goes away - maybe some kids would, but in its current condition I doubt it’s all that much fun even for them.
