Are there federal laws shielding toymakers from being sued if their products are used in the commission of a crime?

I’ve never heard of such a lawsuit. Gun makers got such a law due to a torrent of junk lawsuits that were simply intended to cost them money. GM isn’t liable if someone uses one of its SUVs to run over someone else on purpose.
