As I just posted, my background was Franciscan nuns and the priests at our parish were Jesuits.

I remember we had Father Thomas the “hippie” priest for some time at our school. He was intense as hell, but very forward thinking for the time. Anti-war, Earth Day, modern music played before the masses…things like Simon & Garfunkel, Youngbloods and other social music of the day.

He would have strangled us if we were doing what the Covington boys were doing.

Wish I had that Father. My worst priest….

Was the priest of my high school (not any specific church in town). He was a graduate of the same high school (he was in his 20s/30s). I was a freshman/sophomore (I was 5’2 - shortest boy in class - for the record I am 6’5 now). The whole high school went on a tractor ride to the middle of nowhere for a bonfire and smores. During this time next to the fire the priest… again… the priest… decided it would be funny to attempt to hold me down and force feed me dried cow turd. I fought.. got on my feet and yelled in his face, “what part of being a priest do you not understand. Would Jesus have done that?”

This Covington boys seems to of the same cloth as this priest.
