That one actually didn’t bother me much. In order for my extended family to have a turkey dinner, a turkey has to be killed. Moreover, Sarah Palin grew up hunting and learning to clean just-killed game birds and animals. The sight of a turkey being slaughtered likely doesn’t give her much pause.

I’d say she was being tone-deaf by letting the camera shoot something that would upset a lot of people, but I also think she got much wanted attention out of that and the people who were shocked were not people she appeals to anyways.

It didn’t bother me. It was just the oddness of the turkey being slaughtered with her just going on camera as if nothing is happening in the background. I had a bigger problem with her not knowing any Supreme Court case outside of Roe and the claims that she and her surrogates tried to make that by virtue of her being a governor she was somehow more qualified than Biden even though Biden was first elected to his position at the time thirty six years prior while Palin was in her first term governing one of our smallest states population wise. McCain’s people were like SHE GOVERNS THE BIGGEST STATE IN THE UNION. Yeah one that is smaller than the county I grew up in.
