I thought the same thing, though in one of the articles I read about Tony Seba’s research, they theorized that urban areas would ban that type of car outright due to safety reasons (i.e. self-driving vehicles proving superior to human drivers).

Not by 2030, they won’t. People who think cars are going away probably thought we’d all be on Segways by now. Futurists are mostly just science-fiction writers.
