I don’t know about that. I wouldn’t say that if they let black girls in should be up to them. Granted, transgendered women are in a different place, both biologically and in the process of social rethinking, but the trend is pretty obvious, and the beauty pageants may as well get with it.

That said, it occurs to me that I would be much more comfortable as a parent with a child transitioning genders than a child seeking to become a beauty pageant contender. I don’t know what this says about me, except of course, that I’m a liberal from NoCal.
