BTW, if anyone’s interested in learning more about Boko Haram that’s a really good lecture. The speaker is John Campbell, who was the ambassador to Nigeria under G.W. Bush and is currently the State Department’s acting director of the Office of the Historian.

It starts off kinda slow (first 10 minutes or so), but then it gets really interesting. Gives you lots of insight and reminds you that not everyone sees the world the way we do, and the sooner we obtain a higher degree of religious literacy WRT Islam, the better off we’ll be (because the whole cowboy, bomb ‘em back to the Stone Age just isn’t gonna work).
