I was watching some program about deserts or something like that but one of the things that I remembered was that most of the world’s deserts are on or near the same latitudes. If you look at the Sahara Desert in the picture, you can see that even over the Atlantic at that latitude there is a noticeable gap in the cloud cover.
you’ll also notice that the break isn’t even. The world wears its clouds like a Florida retiree with its pants pulled up above his belly button.
