It doesn’t matter that crime has fallen dramatically in NYC and continues to do so, and that it’s not even in the top 20 most dangerous cities. It’s New York City, and it’s full of Those People, and so it MUST BE an urban hellhole of crime, poverty, and despair where you get shot going out for a loaf of bread.
