many of us held on to a faint hope that once he saw the enormity of the office’s responsibility he might be awed into at least **trying** to be a President. Trying to learn new things for once in his life. Trying to seek out and heed good advice. Trying to use a “light touch” on policy, so that at the very least he didn’t cause serious damage, and could slip away after four years and bask in being part of the most exclusive club on earth.

he’s reaffirmed and doubled down on every ignorant, reactive, impulsive and obnoxious tendency that we’ve seen throughout his entire life.
