Street flooding, mudslides, shattered office tower windows — the whole nine yards. Guangzhou and the other Pearl River Delta cities are also being hammered.

Where I am to the north is unaffected, aside from some light rain.

My niece has just moved to Hong Kong - this doesn’t sound like a great welcome.
