The Smithsonian channel is running a show about volcanoes. One thing I just learned is Hawii’s big island is actually the youngest one, at only 500,000 years old. The volcano on it is continually producing lava at the equivalent of 60k cement trucks per day. It makes me wonder how long it will be before the island is an island-continent like Australia.
