Cumulative exodus of international firms from China due to its increasing cult of personality around Xi Jiaping, the collapse of the Evergrande property development company, aggressive military expansion to counter the United States, and the crushing of the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong has resulted in a major blow to China.

Samsung Heavy Industries, which produces 200,000 tonnes of ship building blocks every year since opening their shipyard in 1997, is closing. Samsung will produce ships in South Korea.
