True, and in rural agricultural towns, RO may be the only thing that cleans enough Nitrate (from fertilizers) out of a public water supply to reach EPA requirements.

But you know this. It is the hell of Public Water System operators across rural America.

We test for nitrates at the top of the wells and the testing points around town, but they aren’t the problem here. It’s the uranium and arsenic.

A lot of agricultural towns do have problems with nitrate fertilisers though.
