Baseball had been dying for quite some time, but with the lifting of many pandemic restrictions it seemed that the 2021 season was greeted more warmly by the public.

The playoffs did better on TV than I would have expected based on the past 10 years of decline.

Now to do this (lockout), I wonder if baseball again will slip down the list of priorities of Americans in regards to their entertainment.

Baseball seems to have avoided most of the Kapernickan capers that plagued major league football.
