What a dangerous idiot. During the first year of World War 2, several million allied troops armed with machine guns, tanks, artillery, and warplanes, failed to halt or even notably impede the Nazi conquest of continental Europe. The French army, 3 million strong, heavily fortified, and with both more and better tanks and artillery than the Germans, held out for barely a month. How does he think Jewish civilians with small arms could have done any better? They might well have stopped the first squad of collaborationist police who arrived to round them up. With some luck, they might even have done the same to the einsatzgruppe that followed. They would not have stopped the panzer grenadiers who would have arrived soon after that though.

I’ve tried to explain that to a few folks more than once. Especially as that applies to the “Red Dawn” fantasy when here in the real world teh ebil gub’ment has helicopters & drones in addition to the rest of the usual military arms.
