The obvious question is why require her involvement at all if she’s not supposed to exercise even a modicum of discernment and discretion? There’s no honor in this shit at all.

I’ll certainly agree there’s no honor in getting Liz involved in what is effectively an argument between the PM and Parliament. And really, that’s what this is, an argument between a PM who was appointed to the post that his own party holds by a single seat, and a Parliament that has dithered and made excuses for years about how to handle Brexit. Even now, they’re not talking about avoiding it, but just seeking another extension in order to hold an election.
