“murder 60 palestinians in cold blood….” these would be the 60 Palestinians who were warned repeatedly not to break past barriers, and whose stated goal is to retake lands that the Palestinians lost when they cut off the water supply to West Jerusalem in 1947 and preemptively went to war with the new UN-sanctioned nation of Israel, correct?

Israel has a right to defend its border. The problem is that they used deadly force when the circumstances didn’t call for it. Instead, Israeli security killed 60 and wounded more than 2000 in the process, and gave the Palestinians yet another bunch of martyrs.

And no, these aren’t the same Palestinians. They’re the grandchildren/great grandchildren of the Arabs who fought to stop the creation of Israel.

There’s an intervening 70 years of history. And that includes all the mistakes made by Palestinians and Israelis to forge a deal. After Rabin’s death, Israeli leaders have shown little interest in peace with the PA, and Hamas refuses to recognize Israel’s right to exist - same as always. Netanyahu’s government chose the most dangerous course of action here with nothing to gain.

Trump’s action precipitated all of this, without a care for the consequences. Jews around the world are now at much greater risk thanks to both Trump and Netanyahu’s actions.
