The system most definitely *is* broken (or at least infested with spreading, widening, cracks)

I’m sorry but Donald Trump asking the freaking HEAD OF THE FBI to commit a criminal act for him (and subsequently firing him for not playing ball) is not just “testing the institutions”. There were bonafide illegal acts that have been committed by this administration, and that is even before any of the efforts to obstruct criminal investigations, commit acts of perjury, or threaten retaliatory acts against those inquiring (and potentially prosecuting) people on the Trump team.
