Yup, complete and utter bullshit. A crime is a crime and the identity of the victim should not be question. Would it be less of a crime if I killed a man for his wallet than if I chose to kill a man because I didn’t like him and stole his wallet?

What about “love” crimes? The prep hacks his lover to death, because he loved her and couldn’t bear to have her leave.

If we use the logic that “hate crimes” are worse that “regular crime” shouldn’t a “love crime” have a lesser sentence?
