re: #538 Nevergiveup

I’d like to remind everyone who it was that popularized and essential was the mouth piece for the “Arab Peace Plan” —-Thomas Friedman of the NYT. I’d like to ring his neck. And now it’s the basis for Obama’s Middle East plan?

If you mean the Saudi peace (through the slow destruction of Israel) plan, no one in the MFMSM seems to have read it or thought through it.
They keep parroting that it calls for a “just solution” for the “refugees”.

It specifies the “just solution” based on UN resolution 194, from 1948, which calls for all refugees who want to live in peace to be able to return to their homes, if they want to, and get compensation if they don’t.

Then the Saudi plan goes on to say that all repatriation should take into account the “special circumstances of the Arab countries”.

In other words, the Arabs aren’t going to take anyone; they’ll find the only place that has to take them is Israel and the Palestinian state, wherever their “home” was in 1948. In other words, they mostly end up in Israel, and it becomes another Arab state.

That’s the short version of my analysis of the plan.
