The original Israeli bill— which affected all NGOs, not just those attempting to influence policy— was obviously far too broad. The newer one is a lot more in line with what most democracies have.

If the bill limits human rights organizations under pretense of “limiting political influence”, screw the bill.

And I’d point out that, while I agree that Egypt as a sovereign state should be able to ban foreign NGO influence on elections, I don’t believe they are a functional democracy and so aren’t the gander to Israel’s goose.

Actually, you have just agreed that they are, on this issie, since you agreed that Egypt should be able to ban foreign influence. That they aren’t in other situations is another matter.
