In part I’m sure you are right. Also, at least as stated by our President, the banks and Wall street had to get that help or great recession would have been far greater depression.

Hell, we may have been better of if unemployment was still being extended, and that cost offset by smaller loans and assistance to Wall street. Agree?

Wall St needed the bailout, no doubt. Obama was right be reluctant to exact their pound of flesh from them while at the same time expecting them to play along with ‘the Plan.’ But the great mistake, and one I expect I’ll probably hold against Obama, is the system won’t be fixed so it can happen again.

The problem with the sentiment of sending Wall St to jail is that they can’t be sent to jail: what they were doing was legal, or not illegal, or skirted. That does not mean it wasn’t wrong, nor that it should’nt be made illegal again.

I’m hoping Obama, or somebody else (Barney Frank) will champion a return to banking segregation. But I’m not holding my breath.
