One aspect of this affair that I’ve been thinking about lately: the fact that the Patritos are heavily armed delays any government response. With the proliferation of guns in the country, will LEOs become more and more reluctant to enforce the law because the suspect is openly armed? Or worse, use deadly force immediately against any suspect carrying a weapon, legally or not?
