Start a garden. Then you’ll be a small-scale farmer. Grow some kind of heirloom vegetables and you’ll be small-scale heritage farmer, growing for a niche market.

I had a garden the year-before-last. Last year I did not because we could not tend it with our planned trip to Canada and Michigan.

I suppose I could say I’m a tumbleweed farmer; we have lots of those that grow in our lawn. (::
