re: #54 Decatur Deb

Daddy Long-legs are like delicate toys, and that’s how we used them as children. (They make a toxin, but can’t deliver it to humans.) I was afraid of spiders as a kid, so captured a few in a wrist watch box and made myself play with them. Grow-up me realized they were probably Wolf Spiders, 2-inchers.

Daddy long-legs spiders never really bothered me all that much. Spiders, in general, except for the scary-looking tarantulas, I’m kind of okay with. I have to deal with them for Mrs. Fish, who is terrified of the things. I even abide peaceably with sneks. Stinging insects, however? Fuck those things sideways. Bees, wasps, hornets, can all get bent in a blaze of flamethrower fire.
