I don’t think the EU will let them push back the date.

This is set by law - the Treaty of Lisbon and the only way out here is to revoke Article 50 (which the Brits seem wholly incapable of doing because it would be admission that this whole exercise has been a cockup).

I think I read somewhere yesterday that it would require a unanimous vote by EU members to extend the date. And the question will be: to what end? From all accounts, the EU has given it’s last/best/final offer.
