I find that I can bear the misfortunes of the GOP donor class with great fortitude. The only problem with that hostile indifference is that the GOP crashing and burning may ruin the country if the media and the electorate can’t find the good sense to stop voting R as Republicans become ever more deranged.

Honestly, I’m surprised the GOP donor class is putting up with all this crap. Perhaps decades of unchallenged rule has completely rotted out their brains.

You forget that the donor class is interested only in enhancing their own wealth, improving their bottom-line, and have no concern about the long-term survival of the planet. They definitely do not care about democracy or justice or the Constitution; they are short-term thinkers all. But if they can preserve their wealth and status, they are indifferent if the rest of society crumbles about them.
