My one rule in politics today is: “Never in engage in any political process that requires Republican politicians to act in good faith.”

And our entire electoral system was rather loose and informal, relying on good faith and mutual trust with only a minimum degree of surveillance and verification.

That is now gone out the window, the GOP has made it clear that they are no longer going to accept any electoral results that they disagree with.
