I love French Onion Soup, but I’ve had to largely give it up to cut costs.

Buy an onion or three, some beef broth a little butter, and some bread and maybe some mozzarella. Carmelize onions in butter, add some beef broth, float a piece of toast in it with cheese on top and bake. Should cost less than $10.
