If the Republicans run AGAINST Obama, they will lose. They have to run FOR something. An idea or set of ideas that offer a positive message. We should bash the hell out of Obama and his plans, but the drumbeat should be what we will do once we get back into power.

My guess is the Dems will continue to shoot themselves in the foot until the midterm at least. Obama is proving to be inept in foreign matters and downright scary in domestic ones. If the right comes out saying Obama’s name every 5 seconds, they can kiss gaining any seats in Congress goodbye. There has to be an alternate plan and viewpoint offered to counter Obama. He is all style and very radical substance…..he is not unbeatable, nor is the Democrat control in Congress.

Exactly right. Although I think the proposed Federal budget, which will quadruple the deficit and ultimately rack up more debt in a single term than that of all previous Presidents combined, is a travesty worth hammering on, you can’t just sit around and say nasty things about it and hope to gain any traction for the party. You have to propose an actual alternative of your own, complete with details and numbers, and sell it as a replacement for this pending disaster.

Unfortunately, there isn’t anything resembling leadership in the party at the moment to help formulate and guide a winning strategy.
