Seriously. It’s such a joke. On a global scale, he’d be a centrist or center-right. The idea that he’s a fire-breathing radical socialist or whatever the latest wingnut meme is should make people laugh and roll their eyes. He’s nothing of the sort.

The coolest thing I saw in 2008 was an actual socialist appearing on Colbert and saying he’s not one, “I should know, I am one.” I mean I really wouldn’t even call him a liberal. Maybe he is personally but his policies are centrist and to hear these idiots who don’t know anything about government act like he’s this radical Marxist, well that just amuses me more than angers me.
