Again, imagine Obama consenting to talks with NK without precondition of losing nukes…

Obama wouldn’t have done that: he wasn’t stupid enough to give up leverage like first demanding and getting the North to dismantle their nuclear program before direct talks.

Obama wouldn’t have left our regional allies and partners twisting in the wind with the consideration that the US would be okay with a nuclear North Korea that still had ability to drop nukes on Japan and/or South Korea.
