FBV - On one cruise I took, the excursion director told everyone that the Mexican government had asked cruise lines to ask their passengers to NOT BUY the chiclets from the kids at the dock. People would keep their kids out of school to sell the chiclets, and the Mexican gov’t wanted people to put their kids in school, and was hoping reduced chiclet sales would convince people to keep their kids in school. HOW DAMNED AWFUL IS THAT?

I never bartered or bargained - I paid what they asked if I thought it was reasonable - I have the great good fortune to be able to afford a cruise, who am I to bargain over a $2 T-shirt?

I feell the same about tipping waiters/waitresses. What is a dollar to me?
