re: #573 littleoldlady

Disclaimer: I am not on LGF 24/7…

The part of the thread that I saw, ice, had Killian asking (okay, he wasn’t terribly nice ;-) and haakon asking (he WAS very nice about it) whether or not you were an American. I did not see anyone asking you to prove it.

Personally, if anyone asks me if I’m an American I’m not at all offended. In fact, I’m thrilled to be able to admit to it.

Point of fact, for anyone who wants to know...I am first generation American. My parents were born in Europe; my dad got out in the late 30’s before the war hit Czechoslovakia, my mother wasn’t so lucky. My father served in the South Pacific and I believe (no paper trail to check) that was before his citizenship papers came through.

See? Easy!

Good for you, congrats! One of the many things that makes America so unique—the very individual stories of each person. Thank you for sharing yours!

BTW: you’re here for about an hour a day. On the day in question, KB had been extremely not nice to me about this for a long time, and you left before I answered Haak. Neither are my fault.
