My tiramisu is a bit unconventional. The recipe is the same basic one, but instead of Marsala or a sweet wine, I use Irish Crme liqueur. It works really well with the coffee and dark chocolate. And I use a tiramisu flavored coffee, brewed really strong instead of the expresso. Never had leftovers, so I figured I must be doing something right.
