I distinctly recall conservatives politicising everything all my life. So yeah, when Ted Cruz or John Cornyn or Donald Trump or any of the others dare weigh in now about “why don’t we all just get along” I’m all for it as soon as they admit they were wrong.

Exactly, I’d like apologies from the entire Texas GOP delegation for how they voted on Sandy relief. And you’re right. Conservatives have been politicizing things our entire lives.
