Sometimes I wonder if the ads are not there to create the market for the products, by convincing the viewers that they’re getting old and might as well succumb to the inevitable.

FWIW neither of my parents needed Depends. Dad lived to 76 and Mom to 80. Not every old has a retention problem.

I don’t know anyone who has needed them. Not my parents (Mom 86 and dad 89 when they passed). Not my MIL who is 86 and more active than I am. No one.
