OT rant:

Daylight Savings/Standard Time really sucks the way it’s timed these days.

It’s 17:55 ET, and already pitch dark. OK, I’m in Manhattan: not really “pitch” by a long shot, but it IS dark….

I don’t mind the days getting shorter in the winter (it’s *Nature*, after all), but chopping the day off in early November just makes things worse.
