Democrats do not want larger government either. They don’t want the government intruding on their personal lives. But because we support social programs that are meant to be AVAILABLE as a resource should you need it, we are looked at as the party of too much government. It’s really not a fair observation.

This is a breathtakingly silly quote. You can’t add all these social programs without growing the government. It is silly to say they don’t want larger government.
