Part of it is that Dubya was seen as “tough” in the “War on Terrorism,” while Obama is seen as not taking the “imminent” sharia takeover as serious, even possibly being supportive of it. Hence, they feel that it’s their duty to take up the “fight,” even if the “fight” consists of their screaming that they’re not going to buy from no damned “hippies” for daring to recognize a major holiday because it’s a Muslim one.

True that. The thing is it seems that full out blown paranoia about Muslims has grown dramatically. It is a world where Grover Norquist, Chris Christie, and Herman Cain are being accused of being agents of the Muslim Brotherhood simply because they have a Muslim wife, appointed a Muslim American to a judgeship, and walked back bigoted comments about Muslims. It’s scary shit. If I were a Muslim right now, I’d be feeling not too welcome.
