Not sure of the facts and circumstances there, but if the local prosecutors are sitting on the case, and the judge is related to a suspect in the case, then there’s all kinds of reasons for the Ohio AG to get involved, which it appears he’s doing. If the facts warrant going forward with the case, then the AG could demand the judge recuse himself because of the conflict of interest.
