Even today, RW nut job orthodoxy is that the Kent State protestors should have been fired on.

Somebody is deviating from approved RW talking points here.

I don’t think they’re actually deviating from them at all. They’re just drawing a false equivalence.

Kent State = students getting shot up and killed.

Sandy Hook = students getting shot up and killed.

Forget the different circumstances, ages of the dead, etc. In both cases students were killed on campus. Yet Kent State didn’t lead to gun bans. Ergo, Sandy Hook shouldn’t either. You know, becuase the two events are exactly the same or something.
